location: Bristol Dragway (Bristol, TN)
event type: junior dragster national event
qualifying position: N/A
finish: runner-up
series points position: N/A
event summary:
After besting Arnold in the Outlaw 330 event, Serra had only a week to change his mindset to bracket racing and ready himself, as well as his racecar, for the biggest meet of the year, the 2011 Eastern Conference Finals. He made the switch successfully and the three-day event went off without a hitch, almost. He advanced through the first six rounds of competition in the 16-17 year old age group nearly flawlessly, but ending Sean's hopes for a second Eastern Conference Finals crown was Jimmy Fizz, in the final round. With the starting line advantage and running .001 closer to his dial, Fizz never looked back.

finish: winner, semi-finals
series points position: 1st
event summary:
In Saturday's 7.90-index category, Sean averaged a .008 reaction time in 7 rounds of competition before falling to Brandon Hoerr in the semi-finals. In the semi-final matchup, Serra's .009 to .022 reaction advantage wasn't enough to hold off Hoerr's 7.93 elapsed time. In 330 Outlaw Competition, Sean worked his way through the field from the number one qualifying position to meet Michael Richardson in the final round. Sean's 4.25 elapsed time was more than enough to defeat Richardson, and helped to extend the lead in the Northeast Junior Outlaw Series points standings.
